How to add messages to invoices and statements

Messages can be printed on invoices and statements, in English or a second language, depending on how the client was set up. You can add your bank details or an advertisement as a message.

How to add pre-typed messages to invoices and statements

Click on FILE on the main menu
Click on LOCAL SETUP
Go to statement messages

Click on the appropriate MESSAGE button next to the account age
Select the name of the message

(Note: If you want to print a message for all the clients, select the same message for all the account ages.)

These messages will print at the bottom of each statement and invoice generated.

How to add a pre-typed message

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu
Click on MESSAGES
Click on ADD MESSAGE
Give the message a name
Type in a message of two lines in the English field, as well as in the Other language field

How to edit or delete a pre-typed message

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu
Click on MESSAGES
Click on EDIT MESSAGE or DELETE MESSAGE
Select the message

How to add individual messages to invoices while busy with a transaction

The notes that you type in the TRANSACTION NOTES field, at the top of the transaction window, will print on the invoice. These notes will only print for that particular invoice and will not be printed for other clients or on statements.

You can also click on the MESG buttons to fill in pre-typed messages. Remember that only the first line of a pre-typed message will print on the selected line. If you want to add a message of more than one line, split the pre-type message into two separate messages with different names, then add these two messages in the appropriate lines.
