How to queue a patient

The queue function allows the receptionist to manage the waiting room by adding patients to a queue. The vet can view this from his/her consultation room (if on a network).

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu          
Click on QUEUE                                                               
Click on ADD QUEUE                                                      
Select the client                                                               
Select the patient  

OR

Click on CLIENTS on the main menu
Click on CLIENTS
Click on EDIT CLIENT
Select the client
Click on the ADD QUEUE button
Select the patient
 

OR Click on the  icon on the toolbar  
Arrival date
The arrival date indicates the date when the patient is there to see the vet. This would usually be the current date of the computer.

Arrival time
The arrival time field displays the exact time the patient arrives at the practice (the time the patient is added to the queue).

Reason
The reason field is used to record the reason for visit or the nature of the ailment. This allows the vet to determine which patients in the queue need urgent attention. Those patients can then be attended to first.

Doctor
The doctor field is used to indicate the name of the doctor whom the client has come to see. This function is helpful if there is more than one vet in the practice.

Select type
Choose the type of visit. The number of the type will be displayed in the queue list.

How to add a transaction for a client in the queue

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu
Click on QUEUE
Click on QUEUE -> TRANSACTION

Select the client from the queue list  
OR Click on the  icon on the toolbar  
This option is used by the vet to do a transaction for a patient in the queue. The moment that the patient is selected for a transaction, the patient will be removed from the queue.

How to add a hospital transaction for a client in the queue

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu
Click on QUEUE
Click on QUEUE -> HOSPITAL

Select the client from the queue list

This will remove the entry from the queue and open a hospital transaction.

How to add a quotation for a client in the queue

Click on SYSTEM on the main menu
Click on QUEUE
Click on QUEUE -> QUOTATION

Select the client from the queue list

This will remove the entry from the queue and open a quotation transaction.
