How to set up your local setup

The local setup specifies the options that affect only your computer. In other words what you specify on one computer will not apply for other computers on the network. In the local setup you tell Microvet, for example, where the printers and data files are located.

Click on FILE on the main menu of Microvet
Click in LOCAL SETUP
Only users with level 4 access will be able to enter the local setup

These fields tell Microvet where to send the printed output. These destinations can be the computer screen (SCREEN), printer (LPT1 or LPT2), a network printer (eg \\SERVER\PRINTER), or a text file (e.g. STATE.TXT). If you want to print to a file, the name of that file must include a full stop and an extension e.g. TEST.TXT. Please refer to your hardware supplier if you are in any doubt about printer ports.
