How to work with different stock locations

Stock can be split into five different locations. You can move the stock from one location to another eg book it out from the main practice to the Isuzu bakkie. Sales and purchases are recorded per location.

Setup your Microvet defaults to the different locations you want to use  eg

Location 1         Main practice
Location 2         Doggy parlour
Location 3         Kennels
Location 4         Isuzu bakkie
Location 5         Toyota bakkie

Setup your users with a default location, each user is linked to a location
Split the current stock quantity between the different locations

How to transfer stock from one location to a different location

Click on TARIFFS on the main menu
Click on STOCK
Click on TRANSFER STOCK
Select the stock item
Choose from which location to the destination location
Type in the quantity to be transferred

How to add stock to a transaction

When opening a transaction the location can be selected from a list. If no location is selected, the stock will be deducted from Location nr 1, the default location.

Click on the LOCATION button on the transaction window
Select the location
Add the stock items to the transaction
