Message: File 'F:\Mfw5\tables.DBF' does not exist.OPENTABLES 14

This is an indication of a network communication problem. The workstation cannot read the data on the file server. The ‘F’ in the message refers to the network drive. In your case it may be a different letter.

  • A network cable is disconnected or faulty.

  • A network card is faulty.

  • he server is not switched on.

  • The workstation was switched on before the file server was switched on.

  • An incorrect network password was entered when windows was loading:
    - When you get a message “Incorrect windows password. You are not logged on. Do you want to restore the connection the next time you log on?”
    - Click on YES.
    - When you click on CANCEL you have to map the network drive again when you log on.

  • The network drive is not mapped.

  • The (C:) drive of the server is not shared any more.

  • The network protocol has been altered.

  • New hardware causes a conflict on the IRQ.
