This utility program can repair corrupted files. Files can get corrupted for the following reasons:

- When there was a power failure, dip or spike.

- The computer was switched off while Microvet was still open.

- When the computer hangs.

- When you get a message ‘Index does not match the table, please re-index immediately’.

In many cases this problem can be avoided if you attach an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to the computer. This device will give you a certain amount of time to switch off the computer in the case of a power failure and will safeguard the computer against power spikes or dips.

Exit from of Microvet on all the computers

Do these steps on the file server

Click on START

Click on RUN

       Type in the following:

            C:\MFW5\MFW5\MAIN

It is convenient to create an icon on your windows desktop and run it from there.

Do it as follows:

Click with your right mouse button on any open space on your windows desktop.

Click on NEW

Click on SHORTCUT

Type the command line

       C:\MFW5\MFW5\MAIN

Click on NEXT

Give it a name e.g. Microvet File Maintenance

Click on FINISH

To run it now is very simple

Exit from Microvet on all the computers

Go to the file server

Double click on the MICROVET FILE MAINTENANCE icon
